Osteria 1935
With so many good reviews of the Osteria 1935 restaurant, we naturally became very curious and got in the car to try it out. After a 20-minute drive along the beautiful country road, we reach the lovely town of Giuncarico with its pretty little old town. The Osteria is located in the south of the old town. You should park right at the entrance to the town and enjoy the short walk through the old alleyways.
The Osteria is located in an old house and has seating both inside and on the terrace. Be sure to sit outside, it’s simply rustic. The menu is reduced, but that has nothing to say. First of all: the food is simply amazing. On the menu is a tasting menu with 5 courses for 40 euros, which I like to try. Otherwise, there is still a nice selection to put together the typical Tuscan four-course menu: Antipasti, primi, pietanze and dolci. The “Menu Desgustiazone” began with wonderful mixed starters and ended with a delicious chocolate cake with amaretto and hazelnut cream. My main course was the homemade parpardelle with wild boar ragout. I’ve never eaten it like this before. Delicious to put inside. My companion had the butter-tender octopus in tomato sauce as a starter and the rabbit with artichokes as a main course. I got to try both and it was great too. The food is also beautifully presented and the service is attentive and super friendly. We will probably dine here more often now. An absolute tip for a wonderful culinary evening.
